Welcome to Bibliomaniac, the online home of me - Carly-Jay Metcalfe - as I ponder literature, life, writing, medicine, ageing, my recalcitrant fleshy vessel and the curious and sometimes perilous machinations of my perimenopausal brain.

Things will be up and running here shortly, but in the meantime if you want to stay abreast of what's happening, you can [subscribe](#/portal/) and receive a notification when I publish something new.

If you want to go back to the beginning to see where I was in 2024, [please click here](https://www.bibliomaniac.com.au/my-year-of-rest-and-relaxation/). All of the posts that I published previously on Substack are here in chronological order.

Warm wishes and happy reading,

CJM
